Temple Grandin is a doctor of animal science, a professor and a best-selling author.  She was listed in the 2010 Time Magazine list of the 100 most influential people in the world and was the subject of the award-winning HBO film Temple Grandin starring Claire Danes.  On their own these are great things- but what makes them monumental is that Temple Grandin has autism.  

Temple is coming to Huntington Beach to speak about her new book, Emergence, Labeled Autistic, which is the 2012 Featured Selection for HB Reads.  There is a private Author VIP reception and Fundraiser at Zimzala in Huntington Beach from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. before her formal speaking engagement at Huntington Beach High School.
